Looking for a Tabliss alternative?
Tabliss is a free, open-source new tab page with beautiful backgrounds and small widgets like the time, weather and quick links. The original extension hasn't had an update since April 2022, and a community fork, TablissNG, now carries it on. If you're looking around anyway, here's how OnePane compares, and when Tabliss is still the better fit.

Why people pick OnePane
Your day, not just the time
Apple, Google and Outlook calendars, Outlook mail, news from any RSS feed and weather for several places, side by side.
Works in every browser
OnePane is a website, so it runs in Safari as well as Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and on work computers that block extensions.
The same page everywhere
Your layout lives in your account. Sign in at home and at work and it's identical.
Looked after
OnePane is a small, paid product from SMW Digital in Canada, funded by Pro subscribers rather than ads.
When Tabliss is the better pick
If you want a free, open-source new tab with lovely backgrounds and a few small widgets, and you don't need your calendar or email there, Tabliss (or the maintained TablissNG fork) is a nice choice with no account at all. OnePane is for when you open a tab to find out what's going on today.
How to switch in a few minutes
- Open OnePane and create a free account. Your first 7 days include Pro, with no card needed.
- Add the Weather, Clock, To-do and Bookmarks widgets. Copy your Tabliss quick links into Bookmarks and your to-dos into To-do.
- Add Calendar and News for the things Tabliss couldn't show.
- Set OnePane as your home page. You can keep Tabliss on your new tab while you try both.
